Himalayan Salt Lamps, USB Salt Lamps, Himalayan Salt (edible), Bath Salt and Beeswax Candles ... all at very competitive prices  Himalayan Salt lamps work as a natural air purifier killing bacteria, removing dust, allergens, smoke, odors, and mould spores. They help you breathe and sleep better. They are a beautiful addition to any room décor and function as a perfect night-light, creating a soothing and tranquil atmosphere.

When the salt crystal rock is lit and heats up, a reaction occurs with the crystal, causing it to emit negative ions. These ions clean the air and relieve symptoms of Asthma and Allergies while neutralizing all odors. They also offset the negative effects of electronic smog produced by computers, televisions, and other electronic devices. It is recommended that you leave the lamp on 24 hours a day to receive its full benefits.

Negative ions are produced naturally by thunderstorms, waterfalls, and the ocean. That’s why we feel refreshed and energized in these environments. Salt crystal lamps offer the same benefits.
The benefit of ionizers is well known. While most ionizers on the market are man-made machines, the salt crystal lamp is a natural and beautiful alternative, and emits no noise or HARMFUL OZONE. The only maintenance for your lamp is replacement of the bulb and an occasional wipe over, Lamps are supplied with a power cord and bulb.

HOW SALT LAMP ACTUALLY WORKS? Salt crystals lamps are natural negative ions generators. Salt is naturally hygroscopic which means it naturally attracts moisture. The interaction of humid air with the surface of a salt crystal releases negative ions. When a salt crystal is heated slightly, it generates negative ions. In order to facilitate this, a small light bulb or tea light candle is placed inside a salt crystal. Therefore, it is important to remember that any salt crystal lamp or tea light holder under normal conditions will only generate negative ions when it is warmed by the internal light bulb or by tea light. The size of the salt crystal lamp and the conditions of the surrounding area, will ultimately determine the radiant effect of a negative ion discharge. BENEFITS OF HIMALAYAN NATURAL SALT LAMPS If you have ever experienced the air at a waterfall, on a mountain top, at the seashore, or after a thunderstorm, then you have experienced the results of negative ions and you know how the air smells fresher and how much easier it is to breathe. Himalayan natural salt lamps can:- Provide relief from hay fever, asthma, allergies and sinuses related illnesses Reduce stress and depression Increase mental alertness and concentration Enhance immune system Purify air Eliminate odours Reduce EMF (Electro-magnetic pollution) Aid in healing process Create a soothing, relaxing, calming and refreshing environment CARE OF SALT LAMP Salt lamps have the ability to draw moisture from the surrounding atmosphere. Salt crystal lamps should never be sprinkled with water or kept in a moist place. Sometimes, in moist or humid conditions the surface of the lamp may be slightly damp when touch. Lighting it for a few hours will dry it very quickly. Any crystallization occurred due to the moisture can be wiped with a damp cloth. It is recommended that the lamp be light every day for best air purifying results. Salt crystal lamp can also be left on as long as possible to maintain the constant negative ionizing process and to repel excess moisture around the area. If you plan not to use the lamp for long period of time just put a plastic bag over the lamp to protect it from humidity and moisture. For cleaning of the salt lamp gently wipe the lamp with a damp (not soaking wet) towel or sponge to remove dust. Once cleaned, dry the lamp with a paper towel or turn on the lamp for a while. Fissures and irregularities can naturally be present in salt crystal lamps Being made from natural salt rocks the lamps may never be identical and may vary in color as compare to the image CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB Always unplug the lamp before changing the light bulb to prevent electric shock and to take care as the bulb may be hot. Only replace the bulb with the same type and size as supplied with the lamp. Gently pull flex out from base of lamp until you can grasp the lamp holder and spring clips. Squeeze clips and slide lamp holder from the lamp base. Screw bulb into holder and squeeze clips to insert the lamp holder into the lamp. The holder should be pushed just past the base so it sits within the salt lamp. Care should be taken when positioning the lamp to make sure that the power cord is trapped under an exit hole and not under the flat base as this could make the lamp unstable. I recommend placing the salt lamp on a plate or similar item to protect any furniture you have it on.
