Connecting travellers&farmers with all members via website: www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com ... For places to stop overnight as you travel Australia&NZ.
This website provides a link between Farmers who are willing to have self-contained vehicles park on their land overnight and Travellers moving between towns.

Hey all you travellers!  Once you become a member of CARAVAN OVERNIGHT FARMSTAY, you can gain access to safe sites all over Australia in a welcoming environment for a donation (eg $5 per night). Just look for the sticker at the farm gate or search for your nearest farm location on our user friendly website. www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com Are you sick of trying to find a safe place to stop every night? Making do with a truck bay full of refrigerator motors or worse being woken by a bunch of louts? If you are self-contained, this could be for you.

Hey all you enterprising farm folk. Here's your chance to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new addition to your farm experience. Fancy being able to access the expanding grey nomad market without having to leave your farm. Once you've signed up to be a member of CARAVAN OVERNIGHT FARMSTAY, all you have to do is put out the signage that we supply with your membership, and open the gate.
The concept is to set aside an area of your farm, generally an area not used for cropping. The area can be as small or as large as you see fit, but preferably suitable for parking a caravan or RV. No, repeat no, facilities other than the land are required. No power, no water and no toilets. However, you will be required to supply an honesty box or some facility to collect the suggested donation of $5.00 per caravan per night.

Well, it's the first Friday of the kids going back to school and I bet all you travellers are thinking "Yay, we can now get back on the roads or sit in peace in the caravan park or just do what we like now!" If you are travelling in style, like in our picture :) have a look at where you may stop overnight in peace & safety at www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com and if you are in Qld near Yaran try "a genuine working High Country Mountain cattle & horse property. The parking spot is on an easy access flat with a lovely crystal water hole suitable for swimming. Farm tours can possibly be arranged from 2,000feet camp site to the 4,000 feet High Country." We may have a couple of new farms on board this coming week too if Telstra sorts our communications problems.Where did january go!! Can February march? No, but April may. Be safe everyone. Sometimes you may feel you just want to disappear! If you can't paint your wagon, try finding a secluded COF place on www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com I Hope you had a relaxing Australia Day wherever you were. Unfortunately, we will not be seeing you at the Perth Caravan & Camping Show - our application was rejected. So although we aim to support self-contained travellers (and farmers) by providing parking alternatives outside of towns, and keeping people in an area longer (where they may actually then stop and stay in a caravan park, buy petrol, food, presents etc), our business is deemed not appropriate for caravanners to know about. On the positive side- we will be on the road catching up with you all a week or so earlier now :) Have a wonderful Friday....To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be. Cheers and drive safely, Deb

Yay, it's Friday again and I'm about to post off the COF stickers to a new farmer registered in NSW(near Woodstock & Cowra) so you travellers can identify their gate. Check out their details on www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com and here is a taste of what they offer with a couple of pictures from Ray & Karen. " We would be pleased to welcome you to camp overnight on our property. There is a fire bucket come BBQ available to use in the cooler weather and picture perfect country to walk around or enjoy from the comfort of your chair. Dogs are welcome(on a lead). Woodstock is surrounded by rich farming and grazing country and has a small friendly community. It has close proximity to Wyangala Dam which offers great boating, fishing and swimming. We are also very central to lots of attractions, festivals and historic sights . You would be welcome to leave your van here for the day if you wished to do some sight seeing without it. I wonder how letters ever get to the recipient. The envelopes, after all, are stationery. You all drive safely if you are back out on the roads again after the festive season. Cheers, Deb

Only 3 more Fridays until Christmas! I do love the "silly" season and the lights and decorations and traditional songs :) I thought I'd highlight this Friday a farm in WA called Krakatinnie, as if you are wandering around looking for some company this seems like a friendly spot! Here is an exerpt from their page on www.caravanovernightfarmstay.com ... "We're Dave and Raylene, retired in our late 60s. We offer an overnight farm stay at Krakatinnie Park to the self- contained travelling nomads. We have a pizza shed and fire pit and enjoy a drink or two. We only tell true stories sitting around the fire on a cold winter night. We have a few pigs, cows and sheep and of course Donk [our donkey] who migrates up to the house to have his afternoon apples and carrots. We also have Scarlett the wonder dog, who you can see in the pictures. She is our vicious guard dog who will keep all travellers safe at night - as long as she can sleep in your bed." And to keep you smiling in this rush to Christmas.. What do you get when you cross a dyslexic, an insomniac, and an agnostic? Someone who lays awake at night wondering if there is a dog. Drive carefully everyone, Cheers, Deb
