Bodnant Garden NT
Description
One of the National Trust's finest gardens, in North Wales Bodnant Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK, spanning some 80 acres above the River Conwy looking west across the valley towards Snowdonia.
The garden has three distinct areas: The upper garden known as The Terraces consisting of formal Italianate terraced gardens; the tree lined Shrub Borders filled with plants from all over the world; and The Dell at the valley bottom, with its giant conifers, wild planting and waterfall.
An endeavour has been made at Bodnant Garden to grow a wide range of interesting and beautiful plants from all over the world, particularly China, North America, Europe and Japan that are suited to the Welsh climate and soil.
The garden will interest amateur and professional gardeners, artists, photographers and families alike. Members of the National Trust and the Royal Horticultural Society are admitted free on presentation of a valid membership card.
The garden is managed for the National Trust by the Hon. Michael McLaren, Q.C.

Bodnant Garden and tearooms are open again as normal again today (some paths may be restricted while gardeners clear debris caused by this weekend's weather) So, Spring...shall we try again?
You'll see some changes taking place near the Top Lawn. We're renovating the formal Round Garden and also taking down two nearby cypress trees which are in poor health. A temporary floral scheme will pop up around the fountain this summer (wait and see!) while the garden team work on long term redesign.
Looking pretty...but sadly, pretty inaccessible too! Thanks Bodnant Garden Centre for this photo.
Where did our car park go? Sorry everyone, but the garden and tearooms are closed today. We hope to resume normal service tomorrow, but check here and on our website for details before travelling. #SnowDay2018 National Trust Love Wales
