Today I invested in a Trend T4 router from W H Raitt & Son Ltd. Thanks to Stanley for all the advise! Now the fun begins and my wee set of chisels will finally get a rest. I'm slowly but surely becoming less 'Handcraft' more 'powertool'. :)
