In June, RHN CEO, Rick Love participated in the 2nd annual, “Over The Edge With FSS” event in Amarillo. Participants help raise money for Family Support Services. The event involves a military-style rappel from the roof of the historic Santa Fe Building in downtown Amarillo, TX. Mr. Love successfully rappelled down the 13 story building and also raised $1,500 for FSS. Mr. Love extended his gratitude to his donors with the following statement: “I want to say thank you for taking the time to make a donation on my behalf to this year’s Family Support Services – Over the Edge Capital Campaign. With your generous donation, I exceeded my personal goal by $500 for a total of $1,500. The 180′ + rappel from the top of Amarillo’s historic Santa Fe Building was an exciting event for the community, volunteers, spectators, not to mention, those of us that participated by going Over the Edge. As the old saying goes, “The first step’s a doozy…” In total, this year’s OTE event raised close to $50K; so again, thank you for the generous support of FCC and my participation in the event.” Family Support Services is a private, non-profit, multi-service agency that serves 25,000 people each year. When individuals and families face crises such as family violence, sexual assault, divorce, abuse, stress, and other challenges, they are there to help. FSS provides a comprehensive network of clinical, educational, and crisis intervention programs as well as the only drop-in, peer-run Veteran Resource Center in the Texas Panhandle.
