House of Yoga
Description
HOY is a donation based yoga studio in the heart of York City
19 W Market St. York, PA 17401
It is our belief, that if we trust in the honesty and integrity of people they will show up that way. An abundant community must live by the principles of nature. Never taking more than it needs and giving as much as it can. These few simple intentions will be the blueprint for how we grow into a thriving yoga and arts community.
1. “Those who can do”-This means if you can contribute financially, you do. If you can contribute time, you do. If all you have to give is good intentions for the community, well, that is enough. This means the single stressed out mother with two minimum wage paying jobs needs to do nothing more but let those who “Can” help her.
2. “We take care of one another”-We are here to be of service to our community. This doesn’t mean we take care of the poor and that is all. It means, we are willing to help care of everyone that comes through the door, so a rich lady may have money, but may need a place to have a connection with people.
3. “Everyone fits”- Every student, teacher, and staff member has the same belief, that is, integration is key to our success as a community. When we see and respect that we all come from different walks of life, regardless of socioeconomic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds we can and will stand as one community. As a result, desensitizing social segregation.
4. “Take only what you need”-Cooperation not competition. We will pay ourselves fairly but never to the detriment of the community, coworkers or partnering businesses.
5. “Collaboration”-We work together to see that every person has a vision that should be considered. No idea is a bad one. Our goal is to help each other realize the dreams of the community and bring those dreams to life.
We are growing a community of Trail Blazin Yogis. We will tell our story as it unfolds. This page will be used to keep you up to date on what the hoy is happening, for three Yogis with a dream to bring yoga to you in a way that we think is pretty ingenious!
