A collaborative, community oriented, multipurpose Arts & Industrial space in Worcester MA; offering equipment, studio rentals, education & events.
May 2017: We are Worcester's largest industrial makerspace in Worcester County. We hold a monthly community open house and potluck "WorcNite" the first Wednesday of the month in our classroom from 6-9p (July is the second Wednesday).
We offer tiered memberships, members get discounts on classes, free wifi, access to all the common tools and areas, and can display their art in our lobby and our hallway.
We are building an open and caring community where art is accessible, innovation is affordable, and creativity is common place. Come see where you fit in at The WorcShop! To schedule a tour, e-mail us: TheWorcShop@gmail.com (subject: tour)

[[[ February 2016: We are proud to announce that The Worcshop has secured a 6-year lease on our new 17,000 sqft facility, in Worcester, MA. Offering the community a place where people can follow their passions and creativity without serious monetary restrictions.  We have seen the crucial role that artist/makerspaces play for adults in providing access to tools, materials, and mentorship. We also recognize that the Artisan and Maker Movement offers a new way to engage our youth as active learners -- motivating students to learn about art, science, and technology as well as to gain valuable experience developing creative and innovative projects. As artists/makers, children will see themselves as producers, not just consumers and develop as self-directed learners. We believe that artist/makerspaces not only promote creativity but also develop an ecosystem that contributes to the economic and cultural life of a community.

The upcoming grand opening, in the Spring of 2016, is an exciting milestone towards the revitalization of Worcester as a cultural & entrepreneurial center for New England.  organizations share a goal of promoting artistic endeavors, non-traditional educational initiatives, technological innovations, and securing Worcester’s place in the “new economy.” We are excited about this emerging partnership and its many possibilities. ]]]
