Humboldt General Hospital
Description
Humboldt General Hospital is a 52-bed community hospital dedicated to serving the primary health care needs of families throughout northern Nevada. Over the past 100 years, Humboldt General Hospital has evolved from a six-room facility in 1897 to a 21st Century medical center. For northern Nevada that means Humboldt General Hospital has become an important regional resource; for area families that means quality care is now available close to home.
HGH’s team of skilled physicians, experienced nurses and other health professionals work together to provide comprehensive care to area families, including state-of-the-art surgical procedures, a full-service laboratory, the latest in radiological services, 24-hour emergency care, a first-class obstetrics department, the best in long-term skilled nursing care and an extensive range of outpatient and diagnostic services. In addition to its medical services, Humboldt General Hospital offers many community programs and events. A newly debuted Community Wellness Program, “Healthy You,” is designed to help local residents tackle tough health issues such as maintaining a healthy weight, lowering their cholesterol, blood pressure, stress levels and even kicking the smoking habit. Additionally, monthly support groups, seminars and training opportunities are offered at little or no cost. Humboldt General Hospital is located at 118 E. Haskell Street in Winnemucca. For more information on the hospital’s many programs and services or to locate a family doctor, please call the front desk at (775) 623-5222 or visit the hospital’s website at www.hghospital.ws.
