The 2016 Wichita Highland Games & Celtic Festival has come and gone and it was fantastic! The weather was a tad bit windy but the crowds loved watching the athletics and visiting the clans. A huge expression of gratitude is owed to everyone involved in putting on the event, including Dave Glasgow and his fantastic crew on the games field, Ron & Melanie Marx of SAMS/Clan MacKenzie for organizing the clans, and Norma from Clan MacPherson & the gathered Frasers for additional help! Likewise, the athletes who competed, the various clan representatives, and the bagpipers of course...none of it could have come together without everyone's involvement. Tapadh leibh!

The 2016 IHGF All-American Highland Games Series, made up of five games held across the USA including Wichita! The top two athletes of the overall will the highest aggregate of points from each games in the series will move forward to the All-American Championships, which will be held at the McPherson Highland Games in Kansas in mid-September, where the winner of the All American Championships will then represent his country at the 2017 IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships and battle it out with a total of twelve top athletes from across the globe for the most coveted title in Amateur Highland games.
