(NICB.org) Most but not all insurance companies report total loss vehicles to the NICB. Unrecovered stolen vehicles are also reported. If you enter the VIN number you may find that the vehicle has been declared a total loss or stolen in the past. You do not want to buy that vehicle under any circumstances.
