We have something that will keep you in the holiday spirit! Last Tuesday, seven students from the Yonkers campus of the John A. Coleman School visited the Westchester Skating Academy for an ice skating field trip! "It was amazing to watch each child's unique reaction to the new sensations," said Allison Klein, the teacher who coordinated this effort. "The children were visibly excited, smiling and laughing," she said, which is pretty clear to see from Hamid's big grin!

Happy Thanksgiving from the John A. Coleman School! "Being a teacher has always been my 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' answer and I am happy that I have been able to accomplish it. I always think about how lucky I am to work with such amazing children and how each day they provide me with wonderful memories of fun times in the classroom and the excitement of their achievements." - Shantel Mackey, teacher
