Check out this inspiring Spring Break story from one of our graduate student servant leaders! "As a first-year M.A. Student in Systematic Theology with a background in International Development, I believe that theology works itself out in meaningful action. So, I was excited to have the opportunity to help lead a group of Wheaton College undergraduates on a Spring Break work trip with Send Relief, an organization conducting hurricane recovery efforts in Houston, Texas. One of the most impactful experiences was sitting with and hearing from the homeowners. Honestly, the stories of lament were hard, and we didn't really have "answers," but we could listen and serve. One thing that I have learned in theology is that so often we face a situation with a limited understanding of ourselves and how God is at work—and this is our moment of opportunity. We must choose to remain humble, recognizing that theology doesn't have all the answers, remembering to do our best with what we are given. We come to the end of ourselves and find that God, who is so much bigger, loves us and is with us in our lament and suffering." Oh, and another thing I learned: how to hang (SO MUCH) drywall. Anyone doing some remodeling? I can help! 😁 -@Tuwa Tuwa Mea Karnley, M.A. Systematic Theology ('20) Learn more about the M.A. Theology programs: https://bit.ly/2GhxFSU @ Wheaton College Theology and Christian History M.A. Programs

"In U.S. institutions we're often tempted to 'help' international students acclimate to our culture, almost as if they need to learn how to fit into our 'box.' But cultural adjustment actually is supposed to go both ways! My vision as the International Student Life Coordinator of the Graduate School is that the Graduate School would be a unique environment of belonging, shaped and informed by dialogue. We have so much to learn from one another, and each individual student brings a perspective that is integral to understanding the global picture of Christ's Kingdom." Dr. Ryken was recently featured by The Gospel Coalition, sharing his wisdom gained from the years of ministry after graduate school. We are grateful for insights that humble us and remind us that our years in formal education are only part of a lifelong journey of learning to be an effective member of God's kingdom. https://www.facebook.com/thegospelcoalition/videos/10154956137242723/?hc_ref=ARQ7r0gj9LENjwvWFkH_nzTIJPD-dfbzsvbUGRmeVAcgicZyo4tcX2gGXk2_IQzPuUQ

Happy First Day of Spring!🌷🌸🌺🌳🌞 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." - Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV)
