FREE WORKSHOP ON HOW TO BUILD A RAIN BARREL Weston Municipal Utilities is holding a workshop on how to build a rain barrel. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 17th, at 5:00 p.m., at the Weston Municipal Center. During this workshop, a presentation on water conservation and efficiency will be given as well as a presentation giving you many ideas and some general step-by-step instructions on how to build that perfect rain barrel unique to your needs. Job Opening - Services Division Technician The Village of Weston, is seeking a fulltime Technician for the Services Division. The purpose of this position is to support the Services Division by planning, coordinating, directing, and supporting operational activities primarily in the areas of utilities and technology services. Significant responsibilities will include administration of the Village's cross connection control program, private (garden) well program, asset management system, analysis and reporting of operational data, and maintenance of record drawings and GIS system. There is frequent interaction with the general public and other Village departments. Salary range is $18.62 to $22.76 hourly DOQ, plus benefits. American Asphalt is planning to perform warranty work on the eastbound lane of Weston Ave from Alderson to Birch tomorrow - Thursday, May 11. The work will consist of milling out the top inch of the existing pavement and then repaving. The milling will take place in the morning and paving in the afternoon as long as weather cooperates. They will have flagger’s present to direct traffic around the work zone.
