The Reading Hospital And Medical Center is a 711-bed non-profit teaching hospital located in the borough of West Reading, in the US state of Pennsylvania. The hospital was established in 1867 and is a part of Reading Health System. The hospital operates several residency training programs for newly graduated physicians (MD and DO), which are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The internal medicine residency is also accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.HistoryIn 2013, through the Reach Out and Read initiative, Taylor Swift donated 2,000 Scholastic books to the Reading Hospital Child Health Center's early literacy program.ServicesIn the last year with data, Reading Hospital had 30,285 admissions and 121,906 emergency room visits.
