Hurricane Irma Family Reunion
A very special Thank You to our Lakeshore Club residents who worked very hard on tackling the much needed pergola repairs. It was quite a feat taking on that job with John. Once again our owners came through with a cost savings to our community. Bravo to all on a job well done!!!
Pics of some residents who survived Hurricane Irma making the best of it. Update: The recovery process has improved everyday. Gas can be easily found with the exception of some grocery shortages. Trash pick up is still a waiting process.
Good News! Power has just been restored to the building.!
Another hot day with no power. Many thanks to our wonderful residents who helped with the cleaning effort...John, Jean-Luc, Nancy Major, Simon, Louise, Alain, Peter, Francois, Carole and Anna. Our HOA saved an estimated $2000.00 in clean up costs. It was a great effort.
All is good but no power. There are many tree limbs down and much cleaning to be done. There is some a/c debris that flew off the roof onto the parking lot. John is already on site working.
We now have the back end of the storm which is all wind in the darkness. Unfortunately, the storm moved a bit east. It is going to be a long and hot night without power. Tomorrow we get to assess the damage.
The worst is happening right now. We lost power at about 4:15 pm. It is very windy.
Good news is we still have power and all looks good so far. The east side of the building is getting the stronger wind gusts. We still have a ways to go. The video was taken from inside as it is too windy to go out to the balcony.
Building elevators have been shutdown.
