This past weekend we closed out our Christmas message series by learning that Jesus entered our world not only in humility but also with majesty. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We are truly blessed to have the Hand in Hand ministry at Valley Church and God continues to help it grow. This summer we created a sensory room, play area, and changing room. Over the past four years, Valley Church Children's Ministry and families have provided summer activities for the kids and families at Chapel Ridge West. We want to continue to build upon this partnership and provide even more opportunities for families to connect to Valley Church through our Upwards Sports program and Hidden Acres camp, while also expanding our ability to provide for ongoing needs. Valley Church and Valley Community Center have a unique opportunity to meet a great need for so many families in our church and our entire community. The play area in Valley Community Center has been a true blessing to so many. We want to extend that blessing by providing an outdoor inclusive playground. Over the past two years, we've partnered with Compassion International to sponsor almost 400 kids in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The church that we partner with through Compassion has a tremendous ministry to hungry children who aren't receiving the nutrition they need at home. They're currently feeding 259 children per day (six days a week!) and the number is rapidly growing, but their facilities are in desperate need of some upgrades.
