It's that time of year again! Warmer weather is approaching, which means a lot of you will be wanting to make the transition from dark hair to blonde/light colored hair! 😃👍🏻 With that being said, I would like to remind everyone that going light from a dark color IS A PROCESS and there is only so much you, and myself can do about getting you to your desired color at a certain rate! Below I've attached a picture of the levels of hair color as well as the underlying pigment that exists within that level of color! This is science and there is nothing that I (or any other stylist) can do about the undertones that are in the hair as much as we wish we could! The undertones will show what you get when lifting pigment out of the hair! These can be shielded slightly with a toner but after a few weeks, the toner WILL fade and these undertones WILL begin to show through! The only way to get rid of that unwanted warmth is to further lighten your hair! I feel that it is very important to be educated before you begin this process so that there is no disappointment and no confusion as to whether your stylist did or didn't do what you asked. It is a PROCESS and as much as we would love to be able to take you from a dark brown to platinum without the slightest bit of warmth in one appointment; it most likely will not happen. 👎🏼 I hope this will help you better understand your hair and if you have any questions, PLEASE ask! 💜💜💜💜
