June 10: South River Shag - Wayne Theatre

The banks of the South River in Downtown Waynesboro will be the backdrop for the biggest outdoor shag dance party ever in Virginia with thousands of people converging on the River City for one day! The South River Shag, presented by the Wayne Theatre, is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, from 1-8 p.m. at Constitution Park. The Chairmen of the Board, The Fantastic Shakers and Erin & The Wildfire will headline the music festival. Tickets are going fast!

May 26: Letters Home - Wayne Theatre

Letters Home comes to the Wayne Theatre on May 26 at 8 p.m. Letters Home puts the current wars in Afghanistan and Iraq front and center by bringing to life actual letters written by soldiers serving in the Middle East. Tickets are $30. Veterans and military receive 50 percent off ticket prices (please call box office at 540-943-9999).

Jacquie is mostly a straight play girl but has also been in such shows as "Rock of Ages" as Regyna and "Footloose" as Betty Blast. Favorite roles include Brooke from "Other Desert Cities" and Meurteuil in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" at Oak Grove Theater, and Teresa in "Memory of Water" at Live Arts. She is stepping into the director role at ShenanArts for "The Rocky Horror Show" this September.

June 10: South River Shag - Wayne Theatre

The Chairmen of the Board, The Fantastic Shakers and Erin & The Wildfire headline the June 10 South River Shag! Featuring shag dance lessons, volleyball, bocce ball, Jenga and cornhole stations set up all around the park. Local food, craft beer, cider and fine Virginia wine will be available on premises. Tickets are $15 in advance for adults and $5 for students. Gate admission will be $20 for adults and $5 for students. VIP tickets for $50 include a guaranteed table seat and two drink tickets.
