Thank you Congregation Solel for including Waukegan to College (W2C) in their annual Solel Mitzvah Day event. Mitzvah Day is an annual day of faith-based social action, and for the second year in a row 5th grade religious school students at Solel have taken on a special project to help students at North Elementary School in Waukegan improve their math skills. These students gave their time to make decorated multiplication flash cards, and included in each packet a tip sheet for parents to learn fun ways to help their children with multiplication facts and a card with encouraging phrases like Super, You Can Do It, and Way to Go! Special thanks to Cynthia and Debbie for helping to organize this very special and meaningful volunteer project that will touch the lives of many.
