Have you been living under a rock this winter and missed the news? We are getting very excited to cater to the long runners on April 29th! Planning for this event is coming along better than we could have hoped. We have a beautiful venue, great race swag, unbelievable sponsors, fun giveaways, excellent food and a real desire to have all our participants reach their goals. Your favorite local run shop on the river now stocks the Bondi 5. Thinking of spending some long hours on pavement? So was Hoka One One when they put this one together!

John and I will be attending a race on the East Coast over the April 1st Weekend. As we will be out of town, the shop will be looked after for shortened hours while we are away. I love testing a new product and being excited to give such a stellar review! Huma Energy Gel Plus was definitely better than I had expected. This clean energy gel is vegan, gluten free and includes and extra boost of vitamins and minerals, plus the gel utilizes the benefits of chia to retain hydration effects for a longer period of time when the body is under stress. I ran with the Berries and Pomegranate this morning and I was surprised that I actually wanted to eat the gel upon tasting it. The texture is easy, the taste is mild and fresh and the effect was a noticeable increase in energy and lessening in fatigue, which was helpful as I skipped breakfast 🙄 I will definitely be stowing these in my pack.

Another great evening at our Monthly Third Thursday Social Run last night. 36 Runners for 5 miles around Washmo. Two guests of our group had just driven from Pennsylvania en route to the Howard Aslinger 12/24 Hour Race in Cape (starts tonight that at 7:00!). Bill Schultz will be crewing Josh Finger through the night into tomorrow evening as Josh repeats the 1 mile loop for 24 Hours. Best of luck for a great race, Josh! Bill is a pretty accomplished runner himself, see below photo of the last time he ran through our area while making his way across the country on foot.... 🏃🏻 Thanks for visiting with us, guys!!
