We are excited to have our interior skylight and exterior pyramid dome restored and looking better than ever! Thanks to Freddie Griesbaum, Derek Brian, Mike, and Clint on the dome. And, thanks to Brian and his crew on the interior skylight. These guys dodged the rain, kept us dry and suffered through the heat. When you have true craftsmen on the job, it really shows. You all deserve a raise! Shout out to R.T. Tennis for the excellent fabrication work and installation of our fall protection. You went above and beyond. It was awesome to have your talent on this job. Thanks to Vaughn Graber and Graber Construction Inc. for the help getting our equipment on and off the roof. Lastly, thanks to Ethan Hawk for all your hard work. Thank-you gentlemen, we are proud of the work you performed, which adds to the character of our Daviess County Courthouse.

Exciting day at the Courthouse as we start dismantling the interior skylight. Pictured, are the first panel coming out, and then,after the last one came out. The frames and glass will be dismantled, cleaned, repaired and reconstructed. In the mean time, the skydome will be rebuilt and upgraded with new panels, along with new backlighting in the old light globes. You can see some of the back lights lit up tonight for the first time in ages. This was only while we worked in the dark. We hope to have it completed by April. Until, then the skylight will be covered by insulation wrap.
