City Council Regular Meeting May 10, 2017 Mayor Kenneth Neilson wanted to thank everyone who helped make Cotton Days a success. SPECIAL EVENT Courtney Anderson requested the consideration to approve a Special Event for a Family Fun Night Fundraiser, at the Veterans Park, on May 15th from 5pm to 9pm. Council approved unanimously. MINOR SUBDIVISION Myers Properties LLC Consideration to approve a Minor Subdivision plat for Primavera Minor Subdivision, located at approximately Green Spring Drive and Buena Vista Blvd. Council approved unanimously with Councilman Belliston abstaining. ORDINANCE Matt Lowe requested the consideration to approve an Ordinance granting Zone Change request Z-17-13 to amend the current zoning designation for Washington Vista to allow for an Extraction Overlay zone, located at approximately 2300 North 700 West. Council approved unanimously with the condition that road usage for completion be limited to green springs Dr. Lester Jessop requested the consideration to approve an Ordinance granting Zone Change request Z-17-14 to change the current zoning designation from Agricultural 20 acre lots (A-20) to Residential Single Family 15,000 sq. ft. lots (R-1-15) zone, located at approximately 240 West 3830 South. Council approved unanimously. SJ Property Holdings LLC requested the consideration to approve an Ordinance granting Zone Change request Z-17-15 to change current zoning designation from Planned Unit Development (PUD) to a revised Planned Unit Development (PUD) zone, located at approximately Bella Vista Drive and 100 South. Council denied unanimously. SJ Property Holdings LLC Consideration to approve an Ordinance granting Zone Change request Z-17-16 to change the current zoning designation from Planned Unit Development (PUD) to a Planned Unit Development with a Residential Rental Short Term Overlay Zone, located at approximately Bella Vista Drive and 100 South. Council denied unanimously. Washington City requested the consideration to approve an Ordinance 2017-18, vacating the Silverado Condominiums, located at 184 West 300 North. Council approved unanimously. City Recorder Danice Bulloch requested Ratification of an annexation at approximately 450 West 3650 South. Council approved unanimously. RESOLUTIONS Requested ratification of the Real Estate Purchase Agreement to purchase the property located at 140 N. Main Street, Washington, Utah. Council approved unanimously. City Manager Roger Carter requested the consideration to approve a Resolution accepting the 2017/2018 Tentative Budget for Washington City and setting the date for a Public Hearing to consideration adoption of the Final Budget. Council approved unanimously. Setting public hearing date June 14th. Washington City Community Center
We want to congratulate 9-year-old Westley Rae for being the first youth to complete the Lazyman Ironman in Washington City. To accomplish this challenge, Westley swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles, and ran 26.2 miles in less than 26 days. Way to go Westley!
