Cooking with a cast-iron gives you great flavor but it needs special cleaning care. Be sure not to clean your cast iron skillet with soap. Doing so removes its natural smooth seasoning. Use a paper towel to remove the stuck-on food and gentlty scrub your pan with a paste of coarse salt and water. Rinse, dry and coat oil in a thin layer of cooking oil before storing.
