This is a method we use to track our posture during workouts. With these checkpoint you can keep an eye on your form while pushing yourself for results.
A lovely 4x15 day kicks off the week for those starting on Monday. Be careful with 15 EACH side, that's a lot of figure 8’s and if you do them towards the end of your workout you’re going to be tired. Keep an eye on form here (low back and not twisting.) Featured Stuff- This week we're throwing a ½ Kneeling OH AR Hold into the mixing bowl. Whenever we use the ½ kneeling position, be sure to point out WHY we use this in our program. With everyone driving all the time, sitting at their desks at work, sitting on couches at home etc., why not try as much as possible to have the clients get some extra stretching while increasing strength. In the ½ kneel position, cue to squeeze as hard as possible the glute of the down leg, to engage the glutes more, to force the hips forward and stretch the hip flexor/quad while providing stability throughout the body. A lot is going on there. Tighter hips could hinder their hinging pattern, put them at risk when deadlifting or even continue down the legs into the calves and ankles which would affect their squat pattern. With the OH Hold, remember to coach the biceps by the ears when the arms are straight overhead. Thanks for training with us.
This is how we finish a 7am morning session. We work hard and have fun while doing it. I only asked for 2-3 sets, I was not expecting everyone to have so much fun and do 4 sets plus planks & ropes. All members keep up the great work. Love your efforts & thanks for training with us. #Fe #BIGREGG #USOME1 #funtimes #teamwork

Differentiating Small Group Personal Training. One of the most common questions we get regarding selling the Small Group PT is how to differentiate it from the Large Group Training. The following is a list of advantages of Small Group PT over the large group training. First and foremost, Small Group (SG) is personal training! As per the product that we deliver in SG, it is every bit as good as Private PT. It is personal training for those who are willing to share the cost of a trainer. It’s not a class!!! It should look, smell and feel different from the Large Group Training. Because SG is truly personal training, we can accommodate nearly all fitness levels and health issues in this setting. From athletes to post-rehab, we’ve got them covered. This is really the best layer for most people that we induct. More variety- we are writing 3 different workouts each week for the SG clients. This means that our heavy users (3x a week) will get a different program each time they visit and we all know that folks love variety! Increased accountability- let’s face it, a good deal of our value as coaches is simply getting folks to do what they know they should be doing. The fact that people must make appointments for SG automatically increases their adherence to the program. Coaches Cards- once folks are in the SG setting, we can use the most fantastic of communication tools- The Coaches Card! Clients make appointments so we know they are coming. We can then pull their Coaches Cards and give them a world-class experience each and every time regardless of who is delivering the program! True strength- I’m sure that we would all agree that true strength is a very important aspect of overall fitness. While Large Group Training may produce some strength gains in the beginning, it has its limits in this regard. The SG training incorporates many movements in the 3-6 rep range- perfect for getting stronger! Undulating periodization- this is from our “words that sound dirty, but are not” category. In all seriousness, periodized training is far superior to linear programming (always the same reps, temp and etc.). This type of periodization is present in the SG programming and will produce results far and above the LGT metabolic only type of training. Best value- by the time we layer the memberships appropriately, we are including a ton of services in the SG layer of membership. Clients will get the most bang for their buck in these layers!
