Hey, everybody. Stephen and Connie here. Wellston Station is closing at the end of next week, and we apologize for the surprise. The short of it is that our dream isn't a sustainable business model. It has nothing to do with the lack of support from the community which has been overwhelming and beautiful, but rather our lack of foresight on how restaurant numbers work. When we first started this business, we knew we wanted to build a place for our community — our home town. For Warner Robins. We wanted to bring people together and we thought music and coffee were both great ways to do that. In that regard, we believe we've succeeded. If you've ever had a lengthy chat with a friend at Wellston Station over a cup of coffee or come to an open mic night and seen a young musician take the stage for the first time, you've had a chance to see why we did this thing. The community has definitely embraced Wellston Station and it has been really cool to see so many people connecting with each other. Every time we saw someone sharing an Instagram shot of some latte art one of our baristas made, every time we saw folks getting autographs from a band they never knew existed, and every time we overheard a late night conversation in the parking lot it made us grin from ear to ear. Warner Robins, you've been so kind to us while we've chased this crazy dream and we can't thank you enough. We're very sorry that the dream was so short-lived, but nothing is permanent and we're very happy that we got to share this season of our lives with you. If you've got any fond memories of something that happened at Wellston Station, we would really love to hear it in the comments!
It might be stormy outside, but it's nice and cool in Wellston Station as we prepare for Open Mic Night with Louise Warren tonight! Come check us out!
