Rex the 2-year-old German shepherd is being called a “hero dog” for taking at least three gunshots while protecting his teenage owner from burglars. He is in stable condition at our BluePearl Veterinary Partners hospital in Renton. In the intensive care unit, Rex is receiving pain medication, antibiotics, wound care and round-the-clock monitoring.
