Walpole has celebrated the independence of our Nation on July 3rd with it's popular parade and fireworks display for over 50 years. On the Third of July, Walpole celebrates the independence of our Nation by holding it's popular parade and fireworks display. A staple in Walpole, our celebration has been going strong for over 50 years, and has grown into quite a spectacle. Below, you will find all the information you need to enjoy the event, and we ask that you follow some of the very simple driving and parking instructions listed below.

EVENT SCHEDULE

4:30PM
The roads surrounding the event area close, namely Stone Street and School Street

6:00PM
The Fire Engine Parade begins in East Walpole

Parade Route
Washington Street -> Short Street ->
East Street -> Main Street -> Common Street

6:30PM
Band concert and fair begin on Stone Field. Refreshments will be available at the Walpole Fire Department

9:30PM
Fireworks launched from the area by Morgan Field & Center Pool - the fireworks can be enjoyed from anywhere in the downtown area

Please note that the Center Pool & Splash Pad will be closed on Sunday, July 3rd due to preparation for the fireworks display. The pools will reopen on Monday, July 4th.
