Wallington F.D. Emergency Squad
Description
The Squad has served the residents of Wallington, NJ for over 75 years. It is staffed by professionally trained volunteers 24/7/365. Emergency 9-1-1. Our mission is to provide the Borough of Wallington, and surrounding municipalities when called upon, with Emergency Medical, SCUBA, and Rescue services and provide support to the community.
The Wallington Emergency Squad is located at 178 Maple Ave. in Wallington, NJ. The Squad houses Squad 2-9 a 2010 Ford E-450 Chassis on a 2002 P&L Custom Type III, Squad 210 a 2008 Ford E-450 Chassis on a 1998 P&L Custom Type III, and Marine 2-9 a 2007 Rescue One Boat. Johnson Avenue Firehouse houses Rescue 204 a 1998 Volvo Rescue One and Scuba 208 is a 2006 Ford F-550 Hackney.
The squad is 100% volunteer and currently at this time has 43 full members, 3 Youth members, and 4 associate members. Each member goes through extensive first aid and rescue training. Some members are trained in technical rescue, SCUBA, and heavy vehicle extrication, & firefighting.

Membership is open to anyone living in the borough over the age of 18 years (16 to 18 years for our youth squad) and information about joining can be obtained by stopping by Squad Headquarters on the 2nd Wednesday evening of every month between 7:00 and 9:00 PM or by emailing ems@wallingtonnj.org.

Reminder the Wallington FD Emergency Squad is made up of people willing to volunteer there time into to what's listed above. Today members and the rest of the department take time to remember the line of duty death of past member, captain, and ex chief Greg Barnas which occurred on this date in the year 2014 while operating at 457 Paterson Ave...we wish our deepest condolences to the Barnas family and our always keeping them in our hearts...the town, the fire service, and many lost a important figure and you will always be missed "Barney"....
