We're working on hotels and campgrounds now, and will post the list shortly. 2016 AIRHEAD PARTS/KGPR TREFFEN #18 Friday, July 22 – OFFICIAL START, Port Angeles, WA to Astoria, OR (250 miles) Local Volkswagen club, Straight Air Volksgruppe welcomes us to Port Angeles for the start of the 18th annual Airhead Parts/KGPR West Coast Treffen! Saturday, July 23 – OREGON COAST CRUISE, Astoria to Coos Bay, OR (230 miles) VW’s cruise the length of the beautiful Oregon coast. Sunday, July 24 – REDWOOD FOREST PICNIC, Coos Bay to Crescent City, CA (133 miles) Lunch in the Redwoods, before heading into Crescent City for an evening BBQ & VW gathering. Monday, July 25 – HUMBOLDT REDWOODS GROUP CAMPOUT, Crescent City to Garberville (150 miles) Group camping in the Redwoods! Hotels aren’t far. More info to come! Tuesday, July 26 – NORCAL CRUISE, Garberville to Santa Rosa (196 miles) VW’s cruise the Northern California coast before heading into the foothills above San Francisco. Wednesday, July 27 – PACIFIC GROVE VW SHOW & SHINE, Santa Rosa to Pacific Grove (176 miles) Volkswagens take over Lighthouse Ave downtown! This was a big hit last year, and the good folks in Pacific Grove are welcoming us back this year. Thursday, July 28 – BIG SUR CRUISE + EVENT TO BE ANNOUNCED, Pacific Grove to San Luis Obispo (137 miles) Cruise historic Highway 1 as it winds through Big Sur, possibly the most beautiful stretch of road in California. San Luis Obispo event is in the works… Friday, July 29 – VW’s ON MAIN STREET SHOW AND SHINE, San Luis Obispo to Ventura (148 miles) Last year, over 120 vintage VW’s parked in Ventura’s historic downtown. It’s an awesome evening with tons of food options, live music in the street, and lots and lots of people out. Saturday, July 30 – The 18th ANNUAL AIRHEAD/KGPR TREFFEN SHOW AND SHINE, Ventura to Long Beach (90 miles) FREE VW SHOW in Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, CA. Over 200 cars last year! Sunday, July 31 – RUN TO THE BORDER BBQ, Long Beach to San Diego (110 miles) After a photo op at the US/MEXICO Border, local VW Club, San Diego Air Cooled, hosts our end-of-run BBQ at the J Street Marina in San Diego.
