On the evening of December 18th, NDE Fifth Graders along with their teachers, Miss Johnson and Miss Testa presented an Historical Person Museum. Students spent two and a half months researching, writing, and preparing for this night. The skills that were taught and used will benefit these students throughout their future. This was definitely a night to remember for our Fifth Graders and all who attended!
Second Grade students participated in a service project to help children and their families who are battling cancer and receiving treatment at Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse. Students donated items to create "chemo care kits for kids". Both second grade classes worked together and filled their donated pillowcases with many items that serve to help kids and their families while going through treatment. The pillowcases were hand sewn and donated by The Mohawk Valley Quilt Club of New Hartford. Susan Redmond connected with Michele Ricci, who volunteered the groups services for this project. Thank you to Mrs. Redmond, Mrs. Graves, and Mrs. Carville, Mrs. Ricci and all the ladies who sewed the beautiful bags. Once again, we see our Mission in action!
NDE would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Blessed New Year!
