News coming out of Urbana, Illinois - City Government: Sterling Bollman has been appointed as Acting Market Coordinator. If you see Sterling tomorrow at the Market, be sure to give him a high-five and a congrats on his new role.

We can't wait for Local Flavors at V. Picasso on Thursday, August 17th! In addition to their regular menu featuring farm-fresh fare from Willow Creek Farm, Chef Leaf is pulling out all the stops and serving up a very special Farm Burger featuring juicy angus beef, ripe heirloom tomatoes, deep fried jalapanos, and a farm fresh egg, all served on a local bun from Central Illinois Bakehouse (one of our vendors!). We're going to have an awesome weekend planned for everyone this week (don't we always)! Farmers Market Week is upon us and that means we have so many things to offer everyone! We'll have a giveaway bag for the first 100 people that show up to the info booth and 4 more giveaway baskets to a random draw. Also, by poular demand, we'll be selling Farmers Market t-shirts! We'll have sizes xs-xl and they will be $10 (cash only) so make sure to come out and get yours!
