" Where Gladys Bought Her Son His First Guitar." Tupelo Hardware Company has been a family business for over 85 years, owned and managed by three generations of the Booth family. The original business was founded in 1926 by George H. Booth, and later incorporated in 1969. William T. "Billy" Booth worked with his father after his return from World War II until his father's death in 1973. William and his son, George II, worked together from 1976 until William's death in 2000. Since that time the business has been owned and managed by George H Booth II. In 2014, George II's son, George III joined his father in management of Tupelo Hardware.
Tupelo Hardware Co. specializes in general retail hardware, industrial supply and small engines parts. We're also known as the store where "Gladys Presley bought her son his first guitar."
