The Trenton Historical Society will be taking part in this year;s Country Christmas held at Barn-N-Bunk on Saturday, December 10, from 1 pm to 5 pm. Stop by our booth and say Merry Christmas! We will have our Bicentennial books for sale ($20 per book) as well as a some of our 2016 Bicentennial Barker ornaments. Santa and Mrs, Claus will there as well as other entertainment. A wonderul way to spend the day with family and friends. For $2.00 or four canned goods, you can enjoy food and get a picture with Santa. Hope to see you there!
2016 is almost over--Trenton's Bicentennial year is almost over as well. But Trenon's citizens have one last opportunity to celebrate! This Sunday, November 6 the city "officially" clses the time capsule opened at the three-day celebration held in June. Join us at the Trenton Civic Hall from 1 pm to 4 pm for a ceremony, music, games for the kids, and refreshments. Look at our "guest book" from the 1991 celebration (did you ro someone from you family sigh it?) and sign the "guesy book" provided so in twenty-fie years (2041) people will know you attended! And see what new items will be placed in the time capsule--bring sone ideas of your own!.
Saturday, October 22, take part in the annual "Doggie Walk" in downtown Trenton. Dress up your dog and yourself. Stop by the Museum for doggie and human treats! The Bicentenntial book. "From Bloomfield to Trenton" will be on sale; cost of the book is $20 per copy. The book makes a great Christmas gift for those who love our community !
The time capsule opened during the Bicentennial celebration will closed Sunday, November 6 with a ceremony/celebration taking place at the Trenton Civic Building (parking lot weather permitting or inside if necessary). We are asking folks for ideas to place in the time capsule. Some ideas include food menus, Kroger receipts, Trenton water bill, phome book--anything that will tell someone fifty years from now know about our city. Share your ideas with us. We give you more details about the eventas they get finalized. Hope to see you there on Sunday, November 6th!

If you have never visited our museum or have gone through a number of times, youcan always find out something new about our hometown, The Bicentennial booj, "From Bloomfield to Trenton: 200 years" will be on sal--$20 per copy. The Historical Society is getting ready to close up the time capsule opened ay yhe Bicentennial delebration in June. We are looking for ideas of items to place in the capsule. If you have any suggestions, syop by on the 17th and give them yo ys. Or call 988-0282 or e-mail splutheran@sbcglobal,net. The Society plans to have a closing ceremony in the near future--we will keep you posted as to when that will take place and what the ceremony will entail! Some upcoming dates for our friends to mark down! Saturday, September 10--Stop by our booth at the Community Night Out. We will have Bicentennial books for sale--$20 a book. Sayurday, September 17--The Museum will be opened from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. as part of the Ohio Historical Society's Ohio Open Door event. Again, our book will be avaialble for purchase. We will have freebies to give out as well. Syop by on the 17th and visit your hometown Museum--it's worth the trip to 17 East State Street. Look for the blue balloons!!!
The Trenton Historical Society Museum will not be open on Saturday, September 3; howevr, we will be open on Saturday, September 17 as part of Ohio Open Door, a statwide event involving museums and other historical sites across our state. We will beopen from 1 pm to 3 pm on the 17th. Our Bicentenial books will be available for purchase--$20.00 per book. Also avaialbe are our Bicentennial ornament featuring the RHS log of a streetlamp. We have about six left and cost is $6.00. Finally we still have limited prints of historic Trenton. Cost of the prints are $5.00 per print or $20.00 for a set. Stop in on September 17; we would love to see and we think that you would love what you find in our museum. We are located at 17 East State Street--look fo rthe signs and blue balloons!
