Recently, there have been a number of violent incidents, including this past week in Florida, that have taken place at schools around the country. All of us are concerned about the safety and well being of our children and students. Through that lens, we have decided to further enhance our procedures so as to better scrutinize students, staff, and visitors as they enter campus each day. Starting February 25th, Administrators and Campus Supervisors will start asking students to show their ASB Cards/ Student IDs as they enter campus. Students MUST must have their ID in order to enter campus. During the first week, we will simply be reminding students to bring their ID and also reminding them that they will be REQUIRED to have a current ID in their possession starting March 5th. On Monday March 5th, we will REQUIRE students to show ID as they enter campus. If they do not possess a valid ID, they will be detained until we can verify they are a current student at TCHS. Here is how it will look: 1. Tuesday February 20th - Information Campaign (email, announcements, Ramble, Robocalls) 2. Monday February 26th - Soft Roll out (Remind Students as they enter they need their ID) 3. Monday March 5th - Full Implementation - ID Required We understand that this change will require patience on the part of everyone involved. We ask that you are understanding and patient during this transition. If a student is tardy due to entry delay, they will have an excuse slip in their possession when they enter the classroom. Our goal is to better monitor who enters and leaves our campus and deter anyone from trying to sneak onto our campus. Our number one priority is keeping kids, staff, and teachers safe.

At least one-thousand high school students filled the South Tent of LA Trade Tech donning those visible red jackets. The nursing assistance students have a shot at advancing to the state finals. This depends on how many students from the other California state regionals qualified. In the health knowledge Bowl we qualified one team to the state finals finishing in the top three. The other two are yet to be determined. Our students also competed in medical terminology and medical math. Go RAMS and Coach Garcia!
