The Talladega County Sheriff's Office needs your help in identifying the man in these photos. He is a suspect in a theft case in the Fayetteville area on 3/31/17. BOLO for escaped inmate: please BOLO for escaped inmate Christopher Wayne Kilpatrick, white male, 6 foot, 160 lbs. Kilpatrick escaped from Lauderdale County Jail on 4/8/2017 and has possibly been spotted in the lower Talladega County area of Fayetteville. Kilpatrick was last seen driving a maroon Dodge Town and Country mini van, tag number 41BM961. The van has damage on the passenger side. If any contact is made by law enforcement please use caution subject possibly armed and dangerous. If any contact made with Kilpatrick please contact Talladega County Sheriff's Office at 256-761-6117.

* Runaway/ Missing Juvenile* The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office is requesting help in locating a runaway/ missing juvenile. Danielle Jewel Acklin, 17, was last seen leaving a residence on Lake Tate Road in Sylacauga, AL on April 1, 2017. Danielle was wearing a tye-dye hoodie, blue jeans, and boots when she was last seen by a family member. A family member reported that she had received a message via social media from Danielle on April 3, 2017 stating that she was okay but was not coming home. Family members are concerned about her safety and have not had any more contact with her. Ms. Acklin has a prior history of running away from home and may be in the Stewartville area of Coosa County or the Sylacauga/ Fayetteville area of Talladega County. Anyone who has seen Danielle Acklin or knows her location is asked to call Talladega County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at (256) 761-2141, Talladega County Central Dispatch at (256) 362-6117 or their local law enforcement agency. All Talladega County buildings, Courthouse and Talladega County Schools will be closed Wednesday April 5th 2017, due to possible severe weather conditions. If you are scheduled for court proceedings tomorrow (grand jury, etc.) You should call if bad conditions are present. To our knowledge they have not cancelled at this time. As always be weather aware and stay safe.

*Missing/ Runaway Juvenile Update* The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office was notified early this morning by the legal guardian of Laderrion Benjamin that he had returned home safely late last night. We wish to thank everyone for the information provided leading to the safe resolution of this case.

It is our responsibility to take every missing person and runaway juvenile report seriously. Until it is confirmed with the legal guardian that the juvenile reported missing has returned home and is in their custody they will remain a missing/runaway person. The reported runaway juvenile has been in contact with various family members via social media but has refused to return home at this time.
