The foundation was incorporated in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes, continuing to put education and student opportunity first. The Taft College Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 that supports educational programs, scholarships and activities of Taft College.

One of the best nights ever for a Holiday Celebration for the many supporters and engaged board members of the Taft College Foundation.
The Taft College Foundation board of directors had the best time at our annual Christmas Party at the Stockdale Country Club. 2017 was a successful year with engaged donor funding to support our students.
Dr. Deb Daniels, Taft College, President & Superintendent said, "Taft College is honored to be naming our Library after Opal Smith and Harry Wilson. Very rarely do you find an individual who believes as passionately as Harry did about furthering education because he believed in building a stronger community. Harry wasn’t a man that sat back and waited for others to do the heavy lifting, he believed in making an honest living and brighter future for Taft."
