DECA is an Association of Marketing Students that allows them to serve as leaders and can receive national awards. DECA prepares leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. This being an international organization we have over 5,000 schools participating in this program. This is a great way for students to get a real hands on feel of how the business and marketing world really works.

Still being a fairly new, Lanier High School had about 50 members for the 2012-2013 school year. Our goal this year is to gain about 50 more to make a total of at least 100 members.

We encourage our members to not only be a part of DECA in high school but continue that concept throughout their college career. There are about 200 colleges and universities that are part of DECA.
