Two great meals are coming up for your dining pleasure! Sturgis Alliance of Churches Annual Baked Potato Feed including all the toppings and salad will be held Monday, March 13th from 4:30 to 6:30 at the Sturgis Community Center. All this is for a free will donation in support of the Sturgis Alliance of Churches. Your generous gift makes a huge difference! Sturgis Kiwanis Annual Spring Fund Raiser will be held Sunday, March 12th from 5:00 to 6:30 at the Sturgis Community Center. The all you can eat soup and salad fundraiser benefits area youth programs. Tickets are $7.00 and can be purchased at the door.

Sturgis SD – Statement Regarding the Passing of Senior Patrol Officer Bill Barff The City of Sturgis and the Sturgis Police Department is saddened to announce the passing of Senior Patrol Officer Bill Barff. On Wednesday, March 8, Officer Barff passed away while off duty at his residence in Sturgis. Officer Barff served with the Sturgis Police Department for 12 years. Officer Barff was an outstanding individual and officer. Our condolences go out to the Barff family and the emergency responders who had the opportunity to work with him on a daily basis. We ask our community members to keep his family in their thoughts and prayers. Funeral arrangements are pending. No foul play is suspected; however, the State Division of Criminal Investigation is conducting a routine investigation and an autopsy is pending.
