Come and see what all the fun is about at auditions for the new Syttende Mai show Sunday and Monday.
Audition announcement for the new Syttende Mai show: Title(s) are: Medals on Main Street (or Where's Ole?) As we finalize the writing of this original show, make your plans to join us at one of the auditions April 2 and 3, 7:00, at the SVP Theater. For those new to this production, it is very much an ensemble. The coolest part is that we do seven shows in three days to strong audiences waiting to laugh. Show dates are: May 18, 19 and 20 with your presence required for the tech days preceding. We will adjust for conflicts but rehearsal time is less than a regular show so we expect prep work to be done outside the rehearsal evenings. This year's plot revolves around con men, Lena trying to fix an Ole problem, the townspeople's earnest but misguided efforts and cool set elements... in other words, business as usual. Rumor has it that a certain UNNAMED international sports competition might figure significantly into the plot and that Stoughton's favorite prop from past shows will have a featured role (could it be an RV starting with a W?). If you cannot make either of those two nights, please contact me since I will be directing this year's show: 608-695-5957 or thepruehers@charter.net. We will start into rehearsal right away on Tuesday after auditions. If you've ever thought about getting involved in some way or have been out of it for a while, this is an excellent show to work your way in.
