TGIHappyMother'sDayF! This weeks quote. "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother." President Abraham Lincoln My mom passed 15 years ago. I still see her in so many places. Especially in Macy's her favorite store. If I think of Heaven I think for Mom it would be a Macy's store where she could buy whatever she wants and return it in a few days to buy some more. If you walk around the restaurant, or Come Sit Stay or Tara House, you will find rocks in strange places. My Mom would always collect rocks from wherever she went. It is my tribute to her that when I see one of those rocks it reminds me of her simple way of remembering places she had been and memories made. I often think of how Mom would think of my life now. Would she be proud of me? Would she be proud of my children and how we raised them. Would she agree with almost everyone I know that I take on too much or would she push me to continue onward, to live my dream? I'll hopefully find these answers when I see her again. But here's today's lesson. If your Mom is still with you, ask her your questions. Let her know your feelings. Tell her you love her. Because our time here is limited and its been 15 years since I could ask my Mom anything. Happy Mother's Day to the most important person we have in our lives! TGIbackonscheduleF! This weeks quote. "Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." William Arthur Ward The last 9 days have been nothing but magical for the Lynch family. Tara being honored by Jawonio, the restaurant being very busy and Come Sit Stay opening has made me realize once again how lucky I am. And today I need to thank those who make my life complete. My wife #Denise Casey Lynch deserves all the credit for not just dreaming up the Come Sit Stay idea but for making our family whole. God knows I spend a lot of time out pursuing one dream after another and it wouldn't be possible to do without a partner at home taking care of our busy lives. My family also needs to be recognized, as well as my extended family, the Casey's, for being there at every turn. For supporting me when things are good, but more importantly when things aren't. My staff at Lynch's who step up and make me shine every day by their commitment to service and our community. Who understand that we don't just serve food, we serve the community. My new staff at Come Sit Stay who believed in a novel idea that I wasn't even sure of myself, but now are showing the community that the idea of excellence in service doesn't just apply to people. But who I have to thank the most is our community. A community that I once let down has never let me down. A community that lends a hand to those in need, that never waivers, that has given more to me than I deserve. For all this and more my heart is full of gratitude and thanks. Thank you all for believing in this imperfect man and completing me. May God continue to bless each and everyone of us with His mercy and love. Have a great week.
