Stony Brook Village
Description
www.stonybrookvillage.com Visit us at the Stony Brook Village Center, where it is all in the experience! Enjoy shopping in this charming Colonial New England setting.
Whether you’re interested in apparel, gifts, specialty foods, or restaurant dining, you can do it all here!
With a blend of national chains such as Jos. A. Bank, Chico’s, Loft, and Crabtree & Evelyn and locally-owned shops, finding what you need has never been easier!
Pick out that perfect outfit and accessories at Flair Designer Boutique, Mint, or Wish. Then find something for children at Cottontails. Looking for a unique gift? Why not try Village Coffee Market or Rocky Point Jewelers. And for dinner, visit Lake Side Emotions Wine & Spirits or The Crushed Olive to add something special to your table.
Once you’ve finished shopping, relax at Blue Salon & Spa, or grab a bite to eat at Crazy Beans, Fratelli’s, Robinson’s Tea Room, the Country House Restaurant, Pentimento Restaurant, or at the Three Village Inn to try either Mirabelle Restaurant or the Tavern.
There's always some fun cultural event at the Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s (WMHO) Educational & Cultural Center (ECC), located in the rear of the village. The ECC features year-round events for adults and children, including performing arts, exhibits, WMHO Youth Corps activities, community events, distance learning and video conferencing programs.
WMHO also hosts a variety of annual events, including Summer Concerts on the Green, an autumn Scarecrow Competition with winners announced at the Halloween Festival, the Promenade of Trees on display throughout the holidays, and the Holiday Festival, which features a visit from Santa and the lighting of the 70-foot holiday tree on the Village Green.
Don’t forget to tour the surrounding area! Take a walk through the 80+ acre Avalon Park Arboretum & preserve. On your way, you can visit the Stony Brook Grist Mill and buy some feed to share with the ducks at the Mill Pond. Or maybe you’d like to visit the Hercules Pavilion to see figurehead and anchor from the U.S.S. Ohio, the first ship launched from the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1820.
Center gift certificates and more information can be found at the management office, located above Cottontails, or by calling 631-751-2244.
