JB Green Team's Annual Hazardous Household Waste Pickup
The JB Green Team announced that the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collections will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Fort Steuben Mall in Steubenville. Proof of residency is required for collections. No HHW materials can be accepted from businesses or industries under the strict rules of the OHIO EPA. Residents from Jefferson County can bring the following clearly and properly labeled items to this event: *Household Cleaners – bleach, ammonia, carpet cleaner, oven cleaner *Lawn & Garden Chemicals – pesticides and herbicides *Various Pool Chemicals; aerosols *Oil-based paint and paint-related products such as thinner, primer, stain, sealer, varnish and shellac *Solvents, strippers, turpentine, Wood preservatives *Kerosene, lighter Fluid, Gasoline *Roof Coating and driveway sealer *Light bulbs with mercury, including 4 ft., 8 ft., U-Bend, Circular, or Incandescent compact fluorescents *Batteries – Lead Acid, Lithium, NiCad, Alkaline, Mercury *Automotive Fluids – Motor oil, Antifreeze, Transmission Fluid *Propane cylinders (grill-sized and smaller), Fire Extinguishers, Freon/Helium Cylinders *Mercury and Mercury debris *Asbestos Items that will NOT be accepted include: *No Contractor, industry or school waste *No PCBs, transformers and capacitors *No Compressed Gases (other than propane) *No Explosives/Ammunition *No Medical/Infectious wastes *No DEA Controlled Substances *No Smoke Detectors/Radioactive waste *No Computers, Televisions and Tires Because of traffic flow in and out of the collection, we ask residents to follow traffic ENTRANCE/EXIT SIGNS and remain in your vehicle. The HHW Collection Company staff will remove all the items from vehicles at the event in order to keep traffic flowing, for safety reasons, and to place the HHW materials in the correct containers. Ohio Means Jobs & The Veterans Service Commission of Jefferson County, will hold their Spring Job Fair on May 17, 2017 from 11a until 3p. The job fair will be held throughout the mall and in the former Sear's location. For your convenience, there are printouts of the employers who will be attending the job fair at the Customer Service Desk. Memebers of Indian Creek's Jazz Band will hold a performance on Saturday, April 22 beginning at 1p in Center Court. This performance is free and open to the public and all are encouraged to attend!
Ohio Valley Wings Motorcycle Show
Members of the Ohio Valley Wings Motorcycle Club will be showcasing their motorcycles beginning April 27 through April 30 during mall business hours. These motorcycles will be showcased in Center Court and throughout the common areas of the mall.
