For over 25 seasons, the Fort Bend Theatre has had the privilege of entertaining, enriching and educating the Greater Houston area and the Fort Bend Community in the arts. Our productions include classics and musical theatre. We have directly benefited many charities and funds, including the Fort Bend Child Advocates, Fort Bend Women’s Shelter, The Gulf Coast Cystic Fibrosis, The Fort Bend Literacy Council, and the Texas Children’s Hospital Sugar Land.

Discover the joy for yourself—whether through one of our many classes in theater, acting, singing, or dancing. Several of our students have gone on to Broadway and television—all through programs made possible through our continued patronage support and donations. It's with the generous support from folks like yourself that make it possible for us to provide family entertainment of this caliber! Our live shows are exciting and interactive.

Over one hundred productions and over 200,000 excited audience members later, Fort Bend Theatre continues to thrive, expand and strive for excellence and education in the arts, while offering unique opportunities for cultural enrichment to all of Fort Bend County. AN UPDATE ON FORT BEND THEATRE JANUARY 2017 Fort Bend Theatre sincerely thanks all of our many friends who contributed so generously to help us pay our rent to finish out 2016 in our former location in Stafford. We also want to express our appreciation to the many volunteers who gave of their time to help us with our moving sales and our move out. We could not have accomplished this monumental task without all of your help and we thank you. It is this spirit of volunteerism and support for the arts right here in our community that has allowed Fort Bend Theatre to provide quality theatre training to young and old alike along with award winning live theatre productions for the past 28 years. Fort Bend Theatre is YOUR community theatre and we could not exist without the support, patronage and encouragement of our many friends over the years. As we look to a new chapter in our story, we again express appreciation for all of your support in the past and we look forward to working with you all again in the near future. We hope to have an announcement within the next month regarding our new location. Once we have confirmed our new facilities, we will be announcing new acting classes and auditions. Please check back here often for updates as we have more information. Also, please visit and follow us on our web page at http://fortbendtheatre.com/ It has been our great honor and privilege for these many years to be able to provide quality theatre education to many of you and your children in a safe and family friendly environment. We look forward to being back on stage as soon as possible and we look forward to having all of you continue to be a part of our extended theatre family. See you soon.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL FRIENDS OF FORT BEND THEATRE: Dear Friends of Fort Bend Theatre, Whether it has been years since you or your child participated with us or just last week, you are being sent this email because we believe that at some point in time Fort Bend Theatre touched both your life and your heart. From the inception of this wonderful theater by visionary founders Frank and Karen Letts, to its tremendous growth and outreach through the creative talents of Executive Artistic Tarra McCain, this theater has remained true to its core values of education, excellence, and entertainment in and through the arts for the last 27 years. But sadly, like many theaters across the country, Fort Bend Theatre is now facing closure. Although our shows, classes and outreach productions remain of the highest quality, we are a nonprofit, and as such, rely on donations to help pay our overhead expenses. Given the storms this last year and the unexpected damage caused by the continual power surges on our equipment, we faced multiple equipment replacement along with extensive electrical work and rewiring. Although we had never paid rent late since we moved to our location in 1999, we have not yet been able to pay all of our December rent, and as such, we will need to exit our 2815 N. Main location on December 23, 2016, unless our patrons and supporters come to our rescue. Rent for this facility is approximately $4000 a month. We know that is too large a figure for most to give, but if 40 people could give us $100 each that would pay one month of rent. Naturally, the more people who give the more we will have for future rent, further securing our ability to stay. The Board of Fort Bend Theatre hopes to set a goal of raising rent for one year's time - $48,000, so that we could get back on our feet. That would mean 480 people would need to give $100 a month. But truthfully, any size donation would be greatly appreciated at this time. Fortunately, all donations to Fort Bend Theatre are tax-deductible, and as your end approaches it's a great time to consider making that donation. If you decide to do so, simply go to our website www.FortBendTheatre.com and click the button that says DONATE NOW! Or if you prefer to send a check, please mail it to Fort Bend Theatre, P O Box 2101 SugarLand, TX 77082. Knowing how many children and lives we have touched throughout the years has always been both a joy and a privilege, so it saddens me to think that without your help, our time together may be coming to an end. Please consider helping this worthwhile, award-winning organization to remain in the greatly underserved community of Fort Bend. As always, we are grateful to you our friends and neighbors for all that you do to support the arts. May God Bless you richly during this Holy season! -The Board of Fort Bend Theatre DONATE NOW: http://fortbendtheatre.tix.com/Donation.aspx?OrgNum=928
