Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is the primary passenger service airport for the St. Louis Metropolitan area serving passengers in both Missouri and Southern Illinois. St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) became one of the first municipally owned airport in the country in 1928. The Airport currently provides connections to more than 70 non-stop destinations on nine commercial airline carriers. STL operates more than 250 daily departurees per day in addition to cargo and general aviation traffic.In 2016, nearly 14 million passengers traveled through STL.
