2nd Star Festival presents its third annual Cultural Arts celebration honoring creativity of all forms to be held Dorris Ranch in Springfield, OR - only a few minutes off of I-5 across the interstate from Eugene - on August 5th and 6th, 2017. The event will highlight 100+ artisans, authors, illustrators along with performers of music, storytelling, and puppetry & more. It is an experience for all ages to be mesmerized and immersed in a land of imagination and inspiration. “What an amazing event filled with incredible vendors, wonderful performances, and abounding in creative energy! Artisan booths will offer unique ink stamps for attendees to collect in their Passports as they wind their way through the indoor Goblin Market. Make sure to journey through the Steampunk Museum, tour a couple of Tiny Homes, and grab some food, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and tea from one of the many food trucks. Don't forget to a cider or wine from our Cider & Wine Garden sponsored by local WildCraft Cider Works.

Workshops and talks can be found under the Workshop Pavilion. Take a step through the gates of the Lost Boy/Girl Encampment (Family/Kids' Area),where you will find mermaids, pirates, face painting, demonstrations, gaming area, & more!

VOLUNTEER OPENINGS: Are there any interested persons/families who may want to volunteer with us? This is our third annual festival but the first time in our own area at Dorris Ranch in Springfield on August 5th and 6th 10am to 6pm both days. We need many volunteers to ensure things run smoothly. We have openings in Parking, Security, Set-Up Crew, Clean-Up Crew, Booth Relief/Check-In. People sign up for one 4 hour slot in a particular area above and can then enjoy the rest of the festival all weekend for free! :) And believe me, there is plenty to see and do that you will want to be there both days! Contact Information: Kesha Hawk 2ndstarfestival@gmail.com You can see more about our mission on our website 2ndstarfestival.com and on our FB Page. We are a grassroots, small, family-run event that needs lots of people helping us to spread the word! Our main goal is to help Keep The Arts Alive through each person's Creative Spark, but to also start redefining what that really means. Creativity comes in many different forms. Everyone has a Creative Spark. Some of us lose it as adults. Some of us never found it. It is never too late to either rediscover yours or to find out what it was in the first place. We want people to come out and be inspired, go home and begin or continue creating, and share it with the world around them. Let's make creativity contagious! If you know any responsible people who like volunteering at these types of events, please send them our way! Thank you all! And even if you can't volunteer, we do hope to see you out there! Check out the website for specifics on the Artisans, Authors, Illustrators, Community Booths, Demonstrations, Interactive Activities, Kids' Activities, Food/Drink, Music, & Dance! Please help us spread the word by sharing this with your friends and family. :) We truly appreciate it! https://www.facebook.com/2ndStarFestival/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel
