facebook.comPretty nice feedback I got after helping a couple with 2 young children... :) Made my night!!! "Michael Cantin Signing Coordinator at The Doc Signers Inc Jonathan Cheatham left the following feedback for Robin Contreras Was your notary signing agent professionally dressed? Yes Was the agent on time? Yes Would you work with this signing agent again? Yes Additional comments: We have two small children, and Robin was very considerate of the difficulties associated with that. We would absolutely work with her again if the need arose."

Recently in a Notary groupI belong to--the subject of "tips" came up. This is what I posted about my tip experience. This is too good not to share on my lage as well. For those of you that know me. "ONLY ME!! LOL.....Enjoy......I received a tip once that I will never forget. You will all love/laugh at this. I was crazy doing signings, working full time 6am-2pm. Signings basically full time 2-10ish. I was a bookkeeper at an auto garage. Learned my lesson you do not dress nice with all the grease. Ruined some nice clothes. So on a day I was going to be lazy not take any signings I wore my boyfriend's sweats. Big and sloppy. I was working in San Francisco and living an hour (2+ in commute). Well I got a call. They BEGGED. It was a last minute had to be done today. I explained. I am in sweats, not dressed for this, no time to drive home etc. The signing company offered an extra fee as well. Ok. I reluctantly said yes. I trek my way from the Mission district to the Financial District. Dying inside as I see the highrise before me and all the suits. (Remember I am in baggy sloppy sweats). I take a deep breath walk in. Get to the 20th floor. Walk in with my nice leather briefcase (only thing on me that looked professional) Got looks from the receptionist, then was walked down to conference room....of course way down the hall....yes....more looks. I felt an inch tall. I kept telling myself I got this. Was introduced to the conference room and of course 8 professionals all decked out. Again more very rude looks. I apologized for my attire explained I would never ever show up like this. Explained I only found out an hour before etc. Then I did my thing. It was a big deal and all 8 people had to be notarized. All the while I kept telling myself "only me". But as the signing progressed I did my thing, I showed my personality and in no time they were seeing me as a professional not as someone that looked "homeless" lol. We laughed they complimented my sense of humor, my professionalism. Etc. Nailed it. I ended with again please accept my apologies as to the way I am dressed this was a last minute thing for me and I was literally begged. Well one of the elder gentleman (I think he and his wife gave me the worst looks when I walked in) Anyways, he tipped me a $20!!! WINNING!!! Of course I will never know was the tip based on what I did?!?! Or did he feel by the way I was dressed I needed clothes.......lol. sorry for the long post. But thought you all would love a laugh on a Monday!! ;)
What is a Notary Public? A Notary Public is a public servant appointed by the Secretary of State to act as an impartial witness in taking acknowledgments, administering oaths and affirmations, and performing other acts authorized by state law. Notaries lend credibility to the authenticity of certain sensitive signed documents through identification of the signer. A notarized document ensures to the public that it's signer is the person who signed the document – Why do I need a Notary Public? Documents within many industries such as Real Estate, Financial, Legal and Healthcare are requiring more and more notarization to help deter fraudulent activity. Today with the increasing amount of identity theft and corporate corruption, these industries use notarization as a checks and balancing tool. This serves to help protect the public as well as the businesses themselves from illegal activity. Notarization, Signing Agent What is a "Mobile" notary public? The "mobile" designation means the notary travels to you. They come to your home, office, or other location at your convenience, giving you the advantage of flexible scheduling - evenings and weekends as well as regular business hours. What is a "Certified Notary Signing Agent"? A Certified Signing Agent has special expertise and training to conduct loan signings. The certification is often from a national organization such as the National Notary Association. The Signing Agent is hired as an independent contractor by a title, mortgage, or escrow office to ensure that the loan signing process is properly completed. Our Notary does hold this distinction.

Just met one of the nicest couples. It is always nice to go into a home and be able to help someone. Always fun to see all the different houses and decor. Crazy how even though I haven't drawn docs in awhile, it is like riding a bicycle and I remember each and every one like I was a loan processor yesterday!!! :)

As a service to my local communities, (and for my love of sports!!), I will provide free notarizations to high school Athletic's department!! Pass it on!!
Is your minor son or daughter traveling out of the country with a church for a mission's trip or just with another family member? Need a permission to travel notarized? Give me a text or call. I have recently done 2 of these for close friends.
It is official. I am now certified!! Officially a Loan Signing agent. I was torn on doing this as my experience in the real estate field is so extensive, I thought it was pointless but was looking at the marketing end. After researching and asking a few RE Brokers--I was given advice that not everyone knows I was a loan processor and it will help build my clientele. Especially since most my contacts are in Contra Costa. Been doing a few signings already. I think my 5000+ closings does help too!! :) I am happy with my progress lately especially considering our crazy kids hectic schedule. Will be interesting to see if I get more calls being "certified"
