Pat Kelleher on Player Safety, Body Checking and the Modern Game

OK Bingham I did my research because this was causing quite a bit of craziness in our community. This topic has caused a bit of back and forth so hopefully this video will help. This was released from USA Hockey on Friday directly and addresses body checking the “banging of the sticks” rule. This rule has been in place for a while however they are trying to enforce the unsportsmanlike nature of it. Please watch it. We only celebrate one birthday boy this month and it happens to be this guy. @aaron.ady32 and today is the big day. So I will share with you what I value most about Aaron. He is the strong silent type. He says a lot without saying too much. He does not let too much rattle him but is (as are most goalies) quote the perfectionist. He values his teammates and I love seeing the relationships they all have with him.
