Several storage units were burglarized earlier in the month. In addition to a New Orleans musician, who had $50k worth of equipment stolen, several firearms are also missing. Anyone with information is asked to please contact Slidell Police.

**Missing Person** Slidell Police are searching for, 40-year-old, Tony Bennett. Bennett was last seen at the Wingate Hotel in Slidell, Louisiana, on Friday, December 8th. No one has seen or heard from Bennett since, which is highly unusual. Slidell Police do not suspect foul play, but that cannot be ruled out at this time. Anyone with information on Bennett's wherabouts is asked to call 911, the Slidell Police at 985-643-3131, or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. Bennett is listed in NCIC as missing.

**Slidell PD Investigating Multiple Storage Unit Theft's** From one storage unit, thieves have stolen about $50,000 worth of prized guitars and musical equipment belonging to New Orleans guitarist Brian Stoltz of Neville Brothers and Funky Meters. Several thousands of dollars worth of other propert was also stolen from other storage units, including several firearms. From the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office: ***Woman Sought in Slidell-Area Bank Robbery*** St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives are working with the FBI in a joint investigation after a Slidell-area bank was robbed Saturday morning (December 16). Shortly before noon a white female walked into the Chase Bank branch at 1943 Gause Boulevard East, implied she had a weapon and handed a teller a note, demanding cash. She then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of stolen cash. The suspect is described as a white female, with dark colored hair, wearing a black vest with a fur hood and a white and black scarf/poncho. She is approximately 5 foot, 3 inches tall and 160 pounds. She was last seen on foot headed towards Interstate 10. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 911 or (985) 898-2338 or contact the FBI at 504-816-3000.

**Grinch Steals $300 from Rack Room Shoes Employee** Slidell Police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a woman who stole $300 cash from an employee at a local shoe store. On November 20th, Slidell Police were dispatched to Rack Room Shoes (350 Town Center Parkway) in reference to a theft from an employee. The employee had her purse locked in a back storage room, and was shocked to discover that $300 cash was stolen during her shift. Upon reviewing surveillance video, detectives discovered a female customer entered the back room, and rummaged around for nearly two minutes. The thief located an employee’s purse, and stole the cash out of the purse. **Bold Shoplifters Intimidate Wal-Mart Employee with Hammers – Flee with Merchandise** Slidell Police are investigating a bold shoplifting incident where two suspects, armed with hammers, chased and intimidated a store employee, busted open glass electronics cases, and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. Early Monday morning (December 11), Slidell Police were called to Wal-Mart (39142 Natchez Drive), after two suspects ran out of the store with nearly $10,000 worth of Apple iPads, Apple TV’s, and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles. The two suspects armed themselves with hammers, and began shattering glass cases, which were locked and contained expensive electronics. A Wal-Mart employee approached the suspects, who were described to be described to be two black males in their 20’s or 30’s. The employee was chased back and intimidated by one of the suspects, who was holding hammers in both of his hands. The two suspects loaded up the merchandise and fled the store, where a getaway car waiting in the parking lot. The car was described to be a dark colored Kia or Hyundai. You may recognize some of these men and women from your morning and afternoon commute. They are out in the road directing traffic, rain or shine, hot or cold. They are dedicated public servant‘s who are essential to the safety of our school children, day in and day out. Join us in wishing all of the crossing guards a Merry Christmas!

Slidell Police unveil their newest crime fighting tool..."the eye in the sky". Slidell PD is proud the be the first law enforcement agency on the Northshore with a legitimate drone program. Chief Randy Fandal says, "This will be a tool of the future for law enforcement," he said. "It's amazing what you can do. It's unreal."
