On this Skagway Cruise Excursion you will meet your Skagway Gold Rush and Salmon Bake Shore Excursion staff at your cruise ship pier in Skagway, then board the transportation for the fifteen minute transfer to the Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp and Salmon Bake, located next to a waterfall at the foot of White Pass Alaska.
Upon arrival you will be met by the unique aroma of fresh and wild Alaskan salmon, grilled over an alder wood fire. The menu also includes baked chicken, rice pilaf, a variety of salads, baked beans, cornbread, coffee, lemonade and dessert. Beer, soda and wine are available for purchase.
After your meal, take a walk to the waterfall where you can try your hand at gold panning. Explore the authentic exhibits of Liarsville gold rush era trail cruise excursion camp, complete with a (non-operating) bordello and laundry tents. You can view antiques and vintage clothing left behind by the miners and local "ladies". Nearby is the Fancy Goods Store for souvenirs, pictures or a cookie.
In addition, enjoy a fun melodrama with a cast of sourdoughs and dance hall girls by Robert Service, the Bard of the North. This is a great Skagway Alaska shore excursion for the entire family. Lots of culture, history, sightseeing and more!
