Worship in Pink, or Pink Sunday as we call it, is a great way for local churches to educate their members on breast health and breast cancer, while celebrating survivorship, as well as those lost to breast cancer. It's as easy as 1,2,3! 1. Komen North Louisiana will provide free breast health information to any church in our 22 parish territory, but first you need to register at https://komennorthlouisiana.org/pink-sunday/ or by calling 318-220-7050 or emailing kmatkins@komennorthlouisiana.org 2. A church coordinator/volunteer is invited to attend a Meet & Greet training orientation in April. At the Meet & Greet, she will pick up the free materials, get an update from Komen, and meet other church coordinators to get fresh ideas for 2018. 3. We suggest hosting a Pink Sunday on May 6, 2018, but a church can have their event on an alternate date if that is a better fit for them. Even if your event is planned for October, we ask that you sign up now, so we can see which churches are participating and get the information in your hands! It's one thing to wear pink, it's another thing to be MORE THAN PINK! Please sign up to be a Pink Sunday Coordinator and help others learn about early detection and if they can't afford a screening mammogram, Komen North Louisiana can help!
